Discipleship MinistryThere are four primary components involved with our discipleship ministry program. While these parts comprise our structured program, unstructured 'one-on-one' discipleship in terms of mentoring and relationships are a vital part of discipleship as well.
Membership Courses: Each new member is required to complete three core discipleship courses - 'Beyond Membership', 'Beyond Religion,' and 'Beyond Me.' These courses introduce new members and prospective members to the purpose of FBC Chiefland and how it is structured to impact the world for Christ.
CrossTraining Courses: This comprehensive program is designed to help people grow in their relationship with Christ, find their calling to ministry, be better equipped for that ministry and carry-out their ministry as best as possible. These courses are primarily offered on Sunday evenings.
Small Group Bible Study: It is vital that each person at FBC Chiefland not only grows in his or her faith, but also connects with others. Bible Study Fellowship groups are designed to accomplish both of those purposes. These groups meet in Sunday mornings.
FISH Outreach: One of the most important aspect of our faith is understanding that it isn't all about me - it's about being used to glorify God. One of the best ways we bring glory to God is by sharing our faith and being used by Him to help lead others to a personal relationship with Christ. That's what FISH - Friends Intentionally Sharing Hope - is all about. |
